š¤Blessed Imbolc š
My husband shared a birthday with this Sabbat so for the past few years Iāve been making a āfire and iceā ring to celebrate both!
Imbolc and the Goddess Brigid are associated with Fire. But Brigid is also associated with wells and the season of Imbolc represents a thawing. So combing the two elements seemed a lovely way to celebrate the day
I make the ring overnight in the freezer using an empty plastic cookie tin and a plastic cup filled with beans.
Why the specificity of tools?
Because you want to unmold completely and quickly to get it into a rimmed container before it begins to melt
Do not use non tempered glass. It will either shatter during the freezing process or when you pull it out. You could also use empty tin cans but not sealed ones. Ask me how I know šš. Trial and error so you donāt have to!
I fill the āwellā with Imbolc correspondences. This year Iāve used cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, lavendar blackberries and red rose petals.
I light the candle in the morning and let it burn all day.
Celebrating my spouse, the Sabbat and the Goddess.
And we will have custard for dessert. His favorite! Did I mention heās Irish? Talk about serendipityš
Iāve also included my prayer card for the final day of the 19 Flames for Brigid here
.

Bright blessings
